Jesse Maddex
Founder & Owner
I am passionate about health and fitness training for general physical and mental health, performance improvement, and injury prevention & recovery. I am a lifelong athlete, a testicular cancer survivor, and have endured and recovered from 11 knee surgeries due to sports injuries. I am deeply familiar with the the journey of general wellness and injury recovery and I know how important fitness has been to allow me to continue to live an active life.
I played multiple sports growing up including baseball, football, track, and soccer, ultimately turning my focus to alpine ski racing to pursue my dream of becoming a professional ski racer. A catastrophic knee injury derailed those plans and put me on a different path with many turns including social work, nonprofit technology consulting, and ultimately health & fitness coaching.
A guiding value in my life and throughout my career has been a desire to make a positive impact on the world around me. As much as I have been driven to achieve my own athletic or professional goals, I now derive as much satisfaction from supporting others in pursuit of their goals. This is the driving motivation behind the founding of Flow State Performance Training.

Book Your Discovery Call
Schedule your free discovery call! This call is for us to see if we're a good fit to help you. We'll ask each other questions, and I'll answer yours. If we're the right people for the job, we'll book an in-person assessment or online meeting through Zoom. If not, we will refer you to another trusted professional nearby.

Introductory Assessment & Workout
During your introductory assessment, we'll review your goals, check your range of motion along with other assessments, introduce you to our space, and start creating a personalized plan to achieve your health, fitness, and lifestyle goals.

Assess & Plan
During your first 2-4 weeks, we'll work together one-on-one to develop a functional diagnosis, establish success metrics, and create your personalized exercise plan.

Develop
During this phase, we'll continue to work closely together to build your confidence and proficiency in four essential areas:
- Performing movements safely, effectively, and efficiently
- Understanding and interpreting exercise programs
- Enhancing lifestyle factors that directly influence achieving your goals
- Grasping the primary principles of Flow State Performance Training and the fundamentals of recovery, capacity, and exercise

Ascend
Once you've attained freedom of movement and no longer require one-on-one sessions, you have the option to continue with personalized sessions or transition to group sessions or remote coaching. In remote sessions, you'll follow your customized program at your convenience, wherever you prefer. This phase includes monthly mentorship meetings with me to track your progress, cover important educational topics, and make adjustments as necessary.

Freedom
Once you've reached your initial goals and mastered the path to success, I believe you've earned the Freedom to chart your next journey. Whether it's maintaining your achievements or preparing to conquer Mount Everest, this phase empowers you to customize programs to suit your needs and reclaim your physical independence.
